Yes, it has been a long time since my last blog. But God has done amazing things everyday since then, and even now. Jason and I have a lovely home now, and he has a job that allows him to be home every night. (yea!!) Justin, 2 1/2, is talking up a storm and Caleb, 7 months, is crawling everywhere!! (Trying so hard to keep up with his big brother! :) ) God blesses us each and everyday, he keeps us safe and helps us to overcome our past. To know him is truly an honor, a great privilege! I recently had the joy of joining my Mom to a Beth Moore conference. Well, it was actually a live broadcast, but it was still awesome! I got alot out of it. Many things were answered for me that I didn't even realize needed answering! God had showed me that I was letting Satan come and steal his word from me!
Beth Moore talked about Luke 8:1-15 , the Parable of the Sower, and how to have a 100 fold harvest in our lives. First, we need to Treasure the Wonder, which is God's word. God's word is the truth. 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God." Second, this is where my eyes were opened, we need to Protect our Hearts. The Devil will do anything to keep the word of God from having harvest in our lives. When a word comes to us from God, it is ours to keep, not for the Devil to steal. Place your hand over your heart and declare it in Christ Jesus. And the third, Next is the Test. There are two kinds of tests; One is from God, he desires for us to grow in him, he wants to bring goodness in our lives. The other is from Satan, he intends to harm us and bring forth death. God's test is called a trial. He wants to see how much we truly trust and love him. He wants to see if we really believe his word that he gave us! Satan's test is temptation. He wants to see us fail, to stay in our sins, away from God!
There had been many times i had received a word from God, and knew it was for me. But the next thing I knew it didn't seem to have as much promise as it once did. THAT right there is Satan taking God's word from me, and I had no clue! Luke 8:12 " Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved." I am know believing that God has something for me to do, if he didn't than he would have never shown me that Satan is taking his word from me. God is miraculous and wonderful, all powerful and yet full of mercy and forgiveness. I thank him and bring glory and praise to his Name! In Christ Jesus, the Redeemer.
